vittoria 150 psi tyres

    I think it's 150tpi tyres...Vittoria Rubino Pro III's (though I stand to be corrected).

    It is TPI (threads per inch). It refers to the carcase plies.
  • Yes They are 150PSI not TPI.

    320 TPI I think.......the disc is in the workshop.


    High pressure clincher, so make sure your rim can take it. Most rims at a push will take 120 PSI.

    I would have thought most rims can take 120PSI and be well within their design limits - its about normal tyre pressure for decent tyres.

    After checking the Vittoria website nearly all their clincher tyres 23mm and below are rated for 115/145 psi. Just checked the Rubino on my winter bike. That is 145 max but I would never go that high. 100/110 is plenty high enough.
    The Conti Supersonic 20mm on my TT bike is rated at 170. I may use 140 if the event is on very good roads, otherwise 120 which can still rattle my teeth.

    had my old rubinos at 140, but that was on very smooth dry roads.

    Would be too uncomfortable on harsh route, and I would be terrified in the wet at that pressure
