Posting a bike...

Looking to post a bike soon and I have used parcel2go.com before for posting forks etc.. But according to them the box is either to big or too heavy. They said one of there team will look into it and get back to me with, has anyone been through this process before? Or can you recommend any other postage services that are reasonably cheap and easy to sort out?
Thanks
Thanks

sent my NS frame and forks via them in a big bike box that would have taken wheels too.0 -

Nice one! Not heard of them before, but comes out at about £26 which isn't too bad. Will wait and see if parcel2go get back to me with a price, could turn out to be cheaper but I doubt it will be any cheaper than £26.0 -

I don't know the sizes of the box yet, I kind of just guessed them as my mate is picking one up from Halfords for me today. It will definitely be over 10kg's though, and I would have thought more than 1m long.0

Was a GT bike box from Halfords measuring in at 130x70x20cm. Weighs in at 15.5kg's. Price to post: £9.58 (not sure why it has gone up by a few pence, probably because I guessed it at 15kg's earlier).0 -
Frame arrived for me Weds, box end was all tattered.
Mate had 12 wheels delivered, same with his packaging etc.
Luckily, no items were damaged in any of the above situations.
Pack it really weel.0 -

Was this specifically with City Link?0 -
Mine was Parcel Force, the wheels were another carrier, DHL or something like it.
Mate wasn't specific.0 -

Ok thanks, seems like City Link will be dealing with this one. They delivered my laptop when I ordered it off the internet last year and everything was fine then, so hopefully should be all right. Packaged it all up nicely anyway.0 -
DHL do bikes, I sent an entire bike - fully built in a huge 2x1m box, stuffed with lots and lots of news paper n bubble wrap.
Arrived safe and sound0
