MTB to Roadbike for the weekend

Hey Guys,

Doing the London to Cambridge bike ride next weekendand have decided to use my Scoot MTB rather than a road bike as its way lighter than te one i've got (and i just like it more!!)

Have fitted a racing saddel, comfortable grips and SPDs and can fully lock out my suspension

I have gone for a set of 100psi Scwalbe Durano tyres but had a question.

i run hope hoop 3's which have DT Swiss 4.2d rims on them. Will they come to any harm with road tyres on doing a 70 mile trip?

I just ask as they arnt made for it..?
