Just built this today - first ride tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not :?

My first singlespeed ride was a bit of a culture shock, you learn to love it though

First ride this morning - I kept reaching for the shifters

Got into it after a while - 2 hours on steep fire roads with some tight singletrack bombing - the bike comes to life downhill and eats up the twisty stuff.

Could be a long term relationship this - well happy :D

my LBS is currently building me a Sanderson Breath with a rigid cro-mo fork and old bits from previous bike upgrades etc. so it'll have slx transmission, looking at that i fancy SS , trouble is i need to carry a baby in a seat on the back of this bike. hmmmm

That's a lovely looking frame, very nice and slender. I ride a rigid but Im not sure I could handle a single speed even in the flat area I live in, but it does give it some clean lines.

I have to admit, I've been toying with the idea of a SS for a while, but I think I live in an area where the hills are just too steep!

Nice bike you've got there though matey!

    :?

I might have to retract this statement, I thought I would test out my theory and prove that I live in too steep an area. However, I have just commuted all the way home in one gear! What gear ratio are you using Paul?
