Aren't the Dura Ace CL clinchers lighter? and 499 at Merlin. I have a pair of EA90 SLXs that I love - but I'm pretty sure the Shimano's are lighter.

SRAM S30 AL Race £499 from Fudges - 1430 grammes - supposed to be a bit aero. Is another option and simpler to buy than the Soul Wheels - which do look good. The SRAM's would look good on your S1 (if that's the bike you're shopping for).

The wheels are to go on my girlfriends cube axial gtc.. It has easton vista sl's on it.
The bike isn't as light as the planet x sl pro with ultegra 6600 and model Bs that we just got rid of.
Thanks for the suggestions on all of thee above.. They all tick the right boxes!

We fitted the Dura Ace carbon-laminate clinchers to my wife's Axial. It seems to be a good combination. The Axial, I'm told, is easier to climb with and picks up speed faster than the previous Trek 1.5 WSD (fitted with the same wheels) but isn't particularly lighter. Looks nice in matt white as well.

Having ridden the Dura-ace CL's and the Easton EA90 SLX's, I would personally go for the Dura-ace wheels. They are a bit lighter, which although is only a handful of grams does seem to be more when riding them. They spin up to speed very quickly and you can really notice when jumping out of the saddle to accelerate. They also feel slightly stiffer when climbing and are a bit more lively in general, in a good way :)

I have not ridden the SRAM S30 Races, but have only heard good things about them. A few of the guys on my team use the S30 Sprints and love them. The trend at the moment does seem to be going towards aerodynamics, and the SRAM wheels are cerainly more aerodynamic than either of the other two wheelsets. The S30 Races are almost identical to the Zipp 101's, which cost double the price, using hubs and rims that are very similar to the Zipp ones, just made in Taiwan instead of America. They use the very nice, and expensive!, Sapim CX-Ray spokes too :)

So for me, either the Dura-ace's or the SRAM S30's :D The Easton's are in no way bad wheels though
