bike junkie

does anyone use the velodrome at the mountbatton centre in portsmouth?
what are the rules? do you have to be in a club to use it, or can i give it a try as a casual user? i'm dying to give it a go

I wouldn't really call it a velodrome. It about 650m long and is D shaped. There is a very slight banking on the 2 corners but otherwise it is pretty flat. I'm not sure when you can just ride on it as there is an athletics track in the middle so you cant cycle when people are doing athletics. There are races there every wednesday night for free wheel bikes. There are races for youth, 3/4 and e/1/2.
