In the cycling short post it touched on chamois cream. I think it's a bit like marmite you either love it or hate it!.
Just curious do you use it?

Yep I sweat loads and I wear it 99% of the time as I chafe really really easilly.
I use Assos most of the time and I have a ridiculously priced tube of Ozone Elite that I'm loathed to use (due to the cost)

I bought a tube of Ozone Elite from my LBS before the Dragon Ride (the only brand they sold). Yes it's all slippery smooth and stuff, but really, seventeen quid for 150ml? How can that be right?

What annoys me even more is the 50% free product sign printed on the front. Like I'm supposed to believe it's ever sold in 75g tubes for the same price. If a retailer tried that they'd be sued by Trading Standards.

Does anyone else use this, and if so how much are you supposed to use? Or is no one else stupid enough to choose that over Sudocrem at a fraction of the price?

Have yet to need it, although my longest rides have only been up to about 75miles so far......

I use Assos but its expensive, i have ordered some Udderly Smooth as its almost half the price and twice the size so why not give it a go. Some people dislike the "cooling effect" of Assos but i dont really notice it and dont find it a problem.
I apply it kind of around my groin ( anywhere that might sweat and rub ) and also on the chamois.

I find it does seem to reduce any friction - i dont know if its just physological but it seems to work. I also feel less sore after long rides.

Ok. Where do you put this stuff? Is it to stop your bum rubbing on a saddle, your thighs on the saddle or your bits.

Am I being dim? If I buy 150ml, of which half is "free product", then that means the normal non promotional price must be £17 for a 75ml tube?? OR is it badly worded and should say "50% extra free", at which point the original pack would've been 100ml. Actually scrub all that, who gives a shit?

    100ml. Half again, 150ml

Agree with your initial point, though

I apply to the inner thigh (top part), scrote and a bit of bum crack. I prefer the Assos creme.

If that's the case and it isn't just linked to men. Do women use this stuff as well?

True, the wording could be construed as half is free, not half as much again.

But just to reiterate, still totally agree with your post, was only having a light hearted dig...

I use Assos and no problem. but due to cost trying Udderly Smooth and works fine for the commute and shorter ride but for the longer rides I still use the Assos.
So will now have 2 pots 8)

Yes - essentially it prevents friction from rubbing skin which can lead so sore bits or the dreaded saddle sore.

I used udderley on my arran circular I did last saturday, didn't use enough though and then when it rained it was sore but the best thing I found for use after to ease things is sudocrem, I was back int he saddle the next day, albeit off road but felt fine.

    Will use more next time

Is that some sort of euphemism?!

I have both Assos and Udderly creams, think I prefer the Assos. I have pretty sensitive skin so if I don't use any it can painful.
