Nightwish, a friend asked me to get hold of the albums for her so before I took the CDs around I had a listen, wasn't too keen. I kept trying and they did grow on me; the combination of opera and metal works extremely well.

    The whole of Opera.

It starts with liking the BA advert and the 1990 World Cup theme toon, and the next thing you know (20 years later) you're a Royal Opera House junkie.

The power, the extraordinary virtuosity. Truly the height of human artistic accomplishment.

Opera is virtually the only genre of music I don't like! Horses, courses etc.

Ghost Love Score, got me listening to Nightwish more. It is an acquired taste but worth sticking to.

Me, I'm not good on modern MOBO and of course there are lots of sub catgeories I don't go for (pop pap for example). But otherwise, I'll give everything a try. Looking for a good entry point to Bluegrass at the mo'. Next live act is Muse at Wembley in Sept.
