Which MRP bash-guard mounting? BB or ISCG?

I've got a Trek 6300 (2010) and want to buy one of MRP's XCG triple bash-guards ( http://www.mrpbike.com/product.php?sect ... t&item=xcg ). I'm away from home at the moment so can't check to see if my bike's got the ISCG tabs (although I don't think it has).

My question is, assuming my bike hasn't got the ISCG tabs, do I get the BB mounted version or the ISCG version and also buy an ISCG BB adapter? Would there be any benefit to the latter or would I just be adding weight, cost and complications?

if you've got no tabs, then get the BB mounted one.

but make sure you can mount it to your BB, some wont work.
