TOUR OF THE PENNINES 18th September

Now in it's second year the Tour of the Pennines is established as one the leading end of season Cyclosportive events.

New Venue in Radclyffe Athletics Centre, Chadderton. The route takes in the usual Pennine Hills that used to feature in the pro race it takes it's name from. Moorcock, Isle of Skye, Scapegoat Hill, Blackstone Edge.

Two distances are available for this hilly sportive 100km and 60km.

Registration opens at 8.00am until 8.45am

Start time 9.00am until 9.30 am. You can start anytime within the 1/2 hour.

    I think I'll give this one a bash. The start line isn't far from where I live either.

    I only managed one wrong turn last year - and corrected it. I suspect that many didn't and so cut the route short, unintentionally.

    Just hope it's less windy!

  • Looks like the organisers have brought it forward this year to get better weather.

    The wind made it tough last year but it was a great ride.
