Cycling Related Bands

There are several sports that seem to have bands / singers associated with them, Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, Jack Johnson for surfing. Chas 'n Dave for Snooker etc. :)

But I am a little stumped coming up with bands associated with Cycling.

The only one I can think of is Campag Velocet, any one else name any?

    One of scotlands most underrated bands The Delgados. Named after Pedro. First lp Domestiques and 2nd studio lp (their second was a peel sesh comp) was called Peloton. Alas they are no more but the lovely Emma Pollock still tours. Also, simply because of their name Bombay Bicycle Club.

    There's a band doing the rounds in the East of Scotland at the moment called Valverde. As far as I know that's the only (potentially) cycling-related thing about them...

    Kraftwerk....

    Cycling led to the band splitting as some members became obsessed, and would stink out the studio in smelly cycling gear.

    +1 for Abdoujaparov and their excellent Cycle Riot Hostory Gang for direct cycling reference.

    one of their earliest compilations was called Djamolidine (sp?)

    I remember the lead singer of Jesus Jones being into mountain biking, and current cycling plus has a story on Paul Heaton of Beautiful South / Housemartins fame riding round the uk.

    Bombay Bicycle Club are named after the london based Indian takeaway!!
