Getting some new hoops made up, Rigida Taurus tubeless.
I'll be keeping these for "best" with some light but meaty XC/Trail tyres.
So, thinking of putting some "normal" tyres onto Mavic Crossland's Tubeless rims - slick/semi slicks for back and forth to work. But, keeping them as Tubeless may be a problem.

1. Being normal Conti Double Fighters, they prob don't have UST compatibility...

2. I was told the Crosslands are Tubeless ONLY, and would have to drill the rim strip to use them with tubes etc. ( Haven't confirmed this as I've never opened them up.)

3. Is there such as thing as a UST Slick/Semi slick?

Currently, the Mavics have Conti Mtn Kings on them, and work ok, but may be bit too skimpy for the trails I wanna do.

    Ok,ta.

Will they inflate with a normal track pump?

Read some tyres a pain unless you've got a compressor...

Crosslands are compatible with non UST set ups according to Merlin's website (I just bought a pair & went tubeless)
    COMPATIBILITY
    Disc brake: international standard
Suggested tire: from 1,00 to 2,3
UST Tubeless or regular tires with inner tubes
With regular tires and inner tubes, always use the UST rim tape, and none other

Stuck my Racing Ralph UST tyres on with a track pump no problem, other non UST tyres may not work as easily

Haven't looked at UST semi slicks, but I'm sure someone will do em.

    Thanks Andy.

I was told by a LBC that you couldn't use 'em with tubes...lIve and learn, eh?

I like them, and wouldn't have ordered the new Rigidas, but it's "complicated..."/Long story.

So, I'll look for UST slicks or go to tubes.

Diolch yn fawr/Thank you very much!!!!
