'Competing' abroad

Hi All,
Hope this is the right forum for this post
I'm taking my bike on a plane for the first time next week (IM Switzerland) and am looking for some (probably straightforward) advice.
I'm going to be taking all my own energy drink, bars and gels as they're not available locally. So, from experience what's the best way to carry these? I was thinking about sealed transparent bags in my bike box? Do gels tend to go bang?
I know SleazyJet don't allow Co2 canisters, so will need to source these when I arrive.
Also going to be getting some pipe lagging to cover my frame. Any other advice or tips for packing my bike?
Thanks in advance

I did the same thing with my bike. Had my gels in the bike box, not sure you are meant to take them but best to use what you know when abroad.0
