Routes around Hawarden, Cheshire?

I have a few days staying in Hawarden, Cheshire next week on business and plan to take the bike for a couple of training rides after hours.

Can anyone with local knowledge help me with some short routes or places I should head to from there for a decent ride, ideally some reasonable riding roads and avoiding traffic blackspots, major A roads etc? It will be evenings only so I wont have more than 90-120 mins or so sadly am not looking for any long rides into N Wales...

Appreciate any help - GPX files/routes etc would be perfect as I can load them in the Garmin.

Are you going to be in Hawarden or Cheshire? Cus Hawarden is in Flintshire, North Wales

If you are in Hawarden I wouldn't bother going anywhere near Chester. Some of those roads in JGSI are far from pleasant - no need to use them when there are tonnes of nicer quieter roads around.

Just tweak these to shorten them to your desired length:

oops - my mistake on the geography!

thanks for the rides reddraggon - looks like I could get just what I need from those routes if those are the best roads.
