Tougher tube on the front or rear,(for DH/FR)? I'm thinking rear as you steer the front around stuff and the rear often hits stumps etc.?

Depends on the tyre IMO. I ran a paper-thin Cheng Shin tube inside a SnakeSkin Nic all last year and it never flatted. A blackthorn got it in the end but I patched it and carried on using it through Winter.

Nick i've got 1 Maxxiss DH tube and one Bontrager DH one, the Maxxiss is tougher. Going to put the Maxxiss into the front for the moment as it's a PITA to cram it into the tyre/rim combo on the rear, as i;ve just found out
