Looking to buy some wateroroofs for my wife in the above areas, not wanting to use a chain if poss so can someone advise of a shop with a decent range of female clothing please?

You could try Samways on Ashbourne Rd in Derby - they've got a fair selection of clothing - down the bottom end of the shop on the left hand side

Freewheel in Nottingham is good. For clothes you cant really beat T'interweb though.
