Does anyone know of any trails in the Windsor area?

I was thinking of heading out to Windsor Park or Virginia Water to see what there is in the way of trails to follow.
Has anyone got any experience of the area?[/list]

  • Pleasant cycling, but there are plenty of people on the paths close to the more popular car parks around the east side of the Park. Around the south side of Virginia Water at weekends you would have to be very careful.
Look at the Park's website for more info on cycling there.
  • Windsor great park is great for casual rides and has some great views. i often park at savil gardens ride round to smiths lawn (watch them practice polo) then into the park down to the village where they have one little shop, then go round to the deer park pass the royal lodge back up to savil garden. cark park is free weekdays

Virginia Waters is good but very busy

Dude, please tell me you have heard of Swinley Forest?

It is my local ride, I am there twice a week, and it is in Bracknell, just around the corner from Windsor.

It is an amazing place - miles and miles of singletrack, down hill, berms, it goes on and on. Plenty of people on here will tell you what Swinley is like.

It's flat out awesome, and is literally 10 min drive from Windsor.

Cool Dave - just moved from Forest Park myself, lived in Bracknell pretty much my whole life.

    We are very lucky boys!
