They are 100mm travel but are they adjustable to 80mm??

If so how?

    Yep, you need to add an all-travel spacer, guides on the Rock Shox website, among other places.

    Is it a job that is quick and do-able trail side or do you have to decide what travel you want and strip and build before you go

    Strip and re-build, it's by no means trail side!

    Edit: there's an article on the home page added today. Same for a SID as a Reba.
