Humungous stems (e.g. Zipp / Planet X carbon) and Garmins...

Hi folks

Just curious about whether / how you fit a standard garmin mount on one of the 'fat' carbon stem styles, like the Zipp 145 or the Planet X nanolight. Can you get them to fit ok, or is it a PITA?

Reckon I would probably just fit to the handlebar, but was curious if it was possible.

    cable ties as normal.

    I have a Zipp stem on my Ribble and the garmin goes on fine.

    Both me and Yorkie (remember us) have the Garmin on our Zipp 145 carbon stems no prob's !!!!!

    Haha, you know Leesy I had you guys in mind, and was trying to remember how it looked.

    Builds going well - my 3 weeks 'sans velo' will shortly be at an end!

    They look alright mate, the little rubber mount moulds around the curved surface. Let me know if you want me to mail you a little pic over of how its looks. Yes, all the 'boys' have been on my mind of late too !!!! (need more ride-outs planned soon).... :lol:
