Mudguards for Trek 7.5 FX

Hi everyone, after getting quite wet on the way home last night I think the time has come to invest in a set of mudguards.
I've read good reports on the SKS Chromoplastics but are there any other well regarded alternatives?
My Trek is running 700 x 32c tires and has eyelets for mudguards.
As I do some weekend longer rides the option of being able to quickly whip them off should the weather be agreeable would be nice. Something that looks good (for mudguards) and won't add much weight would also be a plus.
Although very minimal and I know they won't do as good a job of keeping me dry as full mudguards I do like the look of the guards that are fitted to the Trek Portland.

However, I don't think they are available in the UK.
Cheers.

They look fine for Summer riding with the odd downpour but if you're going to commute through the winter then go for the SKS0

I have SKS on my 7.5 FX. Done me proud through 2 winters Not sure which size they are, as they were fitted when I bought the bike (and I haven't had the inclination to look to be honest).
The only issue I've had is the front has distorted towards the bottom, but I think this was due to it being lent on something and it warping it. I suspect I could fix it with a hair dryer and some patience but it's not a big issue.FCN Daily commute = 11
FCN Fixie commute = 50 -
I put a set of these Bontrager Approved Fender Sets' on mine.

700c x 37mm size and a keen price.
Fitted well and have not suffered any problems so far.Glen
