Tintagel - Cornwall ride w/e 21st Aug

spending the weekend in Tintagel for the weekend of the 21st Aug .... just wondered what riding there might be had in the area ... better still if there is a ride close by that I might be able to join ... not too fit though .. so please be gentle.
.... might be stopping there for a few more days .

I don't know of any riding in that area.

Most people I know live west of Bodmin, so that's about as far up we go.

A word of warning though, the coast path might look good, but it is a footpath and you'll upset the walkers.

Camel Valley are a road club, but they might know of some mtbing in the area as they are based around there.

my inlaws live in delobole and have looked out a couple of routes arouynd there on a map, (would email them to you but my big pooter is dead and they be on that!) but looks like some possibly decentish routes about Roughtor,

there is however just out of tintagel on the way back to camalford the Museum of cycling!! never been in but keep intending too!!

if i get the big pooter back i'll dig the routes i marked out off it and send the up!

we were in cornwall last week , a bit higher than bude and there wasnt much riding around there, ended up taking my bike to dartmoor for the day which was superb and its closer for you being in tintagel

Cornwall - Rubbish for MTB'ing.
Devon (Dartmoor) - Filled with awesomeness for MTB'ing.

Just got back from a week in cornwall and a week in Devon, Dartmoor isn't no Peak District but it's definately got some nice rides which also enabled me to break the other halves fear of very steep rocky decents and she was loving it

i normally ride with cornwall mtb but cant make this weeks ride in helston. I will be going out to hustyns wood, bodmin sunday morning if you are interested. it will be single track not too fast as still finding my way round the woods. give me a shout if interested. Tintagel is about 20 miles away.

Thanks to Steve and Nick for taking me around Hustyns Wood. Fantastic riding ... shame about all those brambles ripping me to pieces ... for the wet roots sending me on 2 offs .... but thats the way we all play !

At least i got out to play today ... looks like the area is in for a battering for the next few days by all accounts !

I know this is a bit late but the coast path between Bude and Widemouth Bay is signposted as bridleway and is ok to ride and if you include the canal bit a small loop can be made up
