Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone out there has sampled these wheels?

I know a gent who is taking them off a new bike he has and he is willing to let them go for quite a fair price (circa £350). They're brand new, not ridden and would be a big upgrade from my current Shimano RS10's!

Pretty good review on BR here: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... t-10-35764

Thoughts welcome - I've been toying with getting some Ksyrium SL's for the daily commute and weekend rides/spotives.

Also, excuse my naivety but I assume these will be fine with a set of PR 3's and tubes!

Cheers,
Nick

Yes. They are about as good a set of clinchers as you'll get.

Thanks ND - in you opinion are they durable enough for commuting London streets?

Depends on what you think about spending abou £500 on commuting wheels.
They may well be tough enough but if you can afford to take the chance on wheels costing that much then that's up to you

I've been using their predecessors commuting to work in central London for 3 years. They aren't carbon but they remain perfectly true and have required no work to be carried out on them despite all year round use in all weathers.

You are being offered an absolute bargain - grab them while you can. If not, please pass the offer on to me!!

Swapped my RS10s for said wheels and couldn't be happier with them.

I have those wheels (courtesy of NapD). Great wheels, light, accelerate well and stiff enough for me. Not sure I'd risk them commuting on London streets though. I buckled the front hitting a small pot hole at speed so had to replace the front, which was expensive. Maybe I'm over protective of them, but I save mine for dry weather riding on the good bike so as not to wear the rims excessively.

They are fine with PR3 and tubes, again not an ideal commmuting choice, but that's a discussion for another thread!
