You can actually look "into" water with them, which is wicked, since they cut out most of the reflected light from the water's surface, and the glare, so you can see the bottom of rivers, fishes etc.

is that true? awesome, i need to find some water asap.

it is true, yes! I've got a photo of a lake taken with a polarising filter, I'll show you, just gimme a minute....

Ok, I've scaled it down, but this is still pretty big.
See in the water, you can see through the waves and make out the rocks underneath? Without the filter it was just a big mass of white.
Even in the bits where there still is a little bit of glare, you can still see through the water.

I wouldn't give a toss about that, I look like a proper bug eyed freak in the Jawbones I just bought. Acceptable on the bike, maybe a little odd walking down the street though  . I've got a pair of crosshairs for more "sensible" occasions!

I have a set of jawbones with transition lens's fantastic optics but i wouldn't walk down the road with them or any "sports" glasses on tbh i think they just make anyone look daft!
I do have a bit of a thing for a good pair of sunnies though and have just got a pair of Oakley Dispatch

All the money is in the lenses, the frames are just cheap plastic. I've got a pair of the older 'minutes' and really like them, but def playing for the name. If you wait till you got over there I reckon you could save quite a few quid?

Bankok, Khao San Road - You'll pick up a pair of Oakley's for £1 if you haggle

Might not be of the same quality.. But you can have 100 pairs for the price of 1.

On holiday in Spain once, during the height of the F.C.U.K 'craze', we saw clothes for sale with "FU(K" written across them in touristy shops.

Ah. Actually, now you mention it, one of my lecturers at college did come in wearing a "Habitw*t" t shirt, in the style of Habitat.

I wasn't convinced that these were a deliberate misspelling though.

Anyway, I'll be off to try some Oakleys/Oakeys/Oackleys tomorrow, so I'll probably find out I look like a bug eyed freak in them and then give up!

Looks like they're getting the merchandising in for the new 'Predators' film early....

As proved today - My sister saw my Jawbones yesterday and was like WTF?? Today she saw me with my Jawbones and helmet on and said "oh, they look a bit more normal now"!

Just walked the dog in them though and my nephew actually stopped in his tracks when he saw me and asked me why I was wearing 3D glasses

Defo gonna be keeping them for sports use only... for which they are excellent by the way!
