Hiraethog 50:50 cancelled... What can I do instead?

Just seen on Singletrack that the Hiraethog 50:50 has been cancelled. Have recently got into MTB and this was to be my first event, was proper looking forward to it as well! Anyone know of any other events around the sametime? Looking to enter something this year but can't really enter anything after early september as I'm back at uni.
