Hi all,
whilst out yesterday i managed to bend my titanium mech hanger, i can only assume i picked up a rock or stone and the pedalling force bent and twisted it.
Now will it be okay for me to simply bend it back into shape or does it need heating up beforehand?
anything else i need to know before i attempt to straighten it out?
Thanks,
Louis

Get a shop to bend it back for you. They will have a tool that will allow them to align it perfectly.
No heating.0 -
ok thanks for the info..
is titanium durable enough that it can take being bent and straightened without seriously weakening or snapping??0 -
yes, or they would use replaceable mech hangers."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

ok, i did wonder why they never opted for replaceable ones TBH, thanks0
