Why does he need a new sponsor? Why are Saxobank pulling out? Surely Andy and Frank and Fabian's performances over the last few seasons must be everything they could have hoped for?

Because Saxo aren't getting the return on their investment they wanted and not reaching the market they were after.

I've heard it's an Indian bank.

Andy and Frank are off to form a new Luxembourg backed team anyway so they won't help in getting a new sponsor.

Any new sponsor coming in is always a good sign. Caisse are pulling out and that team is in trouble, Radio Shack may pull out at the end of the year and I think B Box are up for renewal too

Ok - Same level of sponsorship for 2 years. 2 main sponsors, one of them is Sungard. The other is being kept quiet for now.

BBox will probably be replaced by the French postal service.

We've all heard of SaxoBank now haven't we?

They probably think the sponsorship has acheived all it's likely to.

The results the riders have had ought to make it easy to get a new sponsor but with the Schlecks going the team looks like a less attractive proposition.

forgot about that I remember Harmon saying that they other day during the race now.

Lets hope they don't misuse public money and use it to fund a doping program :D

Good. Riis may not be a likeable character but he sure knows how to get his team to work well and professionally and definitely has good race tactics. Hopefully he can have a quality roster.

    I'm loathed to say it ... but ... +1

I know folks on here don't like him but compared to some of the other nitwits running teams he at least knows how to do his job ...
