Front mech

Why is it the last three bike i have bought never seem to have the front mech set up properly do bike shops bypass this or what also does anyone recommend any decent bar tape just been out on my new sport 1 and the bar tape is coming apart. Rant over :x

    Front mech set-up here : http://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=75 To be fair to shop mechanics, the cables stretch in the first few weeks and it is easy for them to be knocked-out of alignment when being handled in the shop. Also a mech may change relatively well on a stand, but not so well under pressure.

    For bar tape try Ritchey Pro (if you like a regular padded tape) or Fizik Microtex if you like something thinner.
