Class 10 SDHC memory, too good to be true?

my Gopro HD should arrive on tuesday, and I'm going to need at least one more decent sized SD card to go with it. Just browsing around and found that though class 6 should be enough for it, there's class 10 cards around at silly prices. I wouldn't pay more than I have to, but the 8gb Transcend class 10 cards can be found for the same as 8gb class 6. Any reason not to? Compatability etc?

there can be compatability issues. I use Class 10 in my SLR camera, and my ancient card reader built into the monitor won't read them. I think it may actually be because it only works with SD, and not sdhc even.

Anything even remotely modern should be fine though.

for the same price you might as well get it, the minimum it'll do is match a class 6 transcend (like a lot of them end up doing in the real world for a good chunk more).

Be carefull with budget sd cards. GoPro HD may not take them, Kingston is your choice as recommended by GoPro ... they know they have issues with compatibility, and I found out the hard way. Standard 4GB card which comes with camera is enough to film upto 2hours in 720p deff of footage.

    # What size and type of memory card does the camera take?

The HD HERO camera supports SD/SDHC cards up to 32GB (any SD card over 2GB is considered a SDHC card). We recommend name brand SDHC cards with a class 4 rating or higher. The two cards that we mostly use in house, which work well are the Kingston and Patriot brand class 4 cards. We mostly use the 16GB class 4 card, as it gives you the most 'bang for your buck'.

Northwind, if Transcend works on GoPro HD ... its most probably the cracking deal of a century and deserves to be put to -Crunch that credit*.
