Now don't know much about this sort of thing but if you have migraine problems would you not be better to keep your energy levels, level rather than peaking and dropping with sugers and caffeine0

I get migranes if the gels etc have certain colorings in, I avoid anything Orange or Yellow colour wise and this works for me. Blackcurrent seems good.
I find that caffine intake has no affect on me.0 -
The info on this page might be of some use

I have tried the recommendations on the same site for dealing with chronic fatigue, and they have worked wonders for me. The nutritional support may help to raise overall levels of energy.
You can normally buy energy drinks with natural flavours, and just add what you want or leave it plain.
Certainly Torq do unflavoured products :

And I am currently using:

It seems that a lot of these things are a long process of trial and error, it is a bore, but worth it in the end.
Good luck.0 -
great advice thanks guys.
ps: will give black current ago0 -
I'd suggest Torq or perhaps ZipVit for 'more natrual' products (Torq's Black Cherry Yogurt gel is actually quite nice and avoids the orange and yellow that Langman struggles with).
Trial and error is probably the only answer unfortunately. Personally I only get migraines when I don't have caffine, but I put that down to years of abusing it  .0 -
Sports beans work pretty well if you cant do the caffine routePain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0

Most Gels don't have any caffeine in unless they specifically say. I would avoid any that have unnecessary extras0
