Where is 'the devil' in this years tour - I haven't yet seen him and Paul and Phil haven't mentioned him this year. Have I missed something?

Aww, glad you've seen him.

I thought maybe he hadn't been in the early stages due to their geographic location, or had just missed out on TV coverage. But I had wondered if he'd been taken ill (as he is after all getting on in years).

He's "sponsored" now, and the TdF/Broadcaster doesn't want to give air time to sponsors who haven't paid for the airtime, hence you don't see him much these days.

Didi's first visible TDF was 1993, love seeing the guy on tv....he never interfers much with riders and reminds them hell awaits if they make a mistake. Cowhorn is such a prat
