I think 130mm is the max travel
I would look at a Fox F120 or RockShox Reba0 -

Don't put anything on with travel over 130. It'll mess the handling right up and potentially snap the headtube, smashing your face in!0

if you need the extra travel, you need another bike. look at a pitch pro or marin wolf ridge0

Hi,
If spesh say 130mm is good, then it is good.
My bike needed a longer fork, so I asked the factory, they ok'd upto 35mm more.
Made the bike a different machine, so much more fun,Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0 -
what factory did you ask ? specialized ? if so how did you contact them ? email ?need riding mates who live in swansea !!! anyone ?0

Spesh say upto 10% more travel than standard on the majority of their bikes (on their website... somewhere) so 130mm should be fine
But £500 forks on a bike that cost only £1100 is a hell of a lot to spend just on the forks alone, the money could be used in many other ways to improve the bikes performance (provided it is as std spec)0
