I'd like to fit a dynamo hub and lights to my commuter, sadly I have absolutely no mechanical skills or knowledge, and need to ask some, possibly stupidly inane questions.
I presume one has to buid a new wheel to house the hub?
I've found a hub/dynamo on Wiggle, i.e., Shimano DH 3N72B dynamo front hub. But the advert says to be used with rim brakes, I have disc brakes, does that mean I can't use this version of a hub dynamo?t

If the hub has no disc brake mounting system it can't be used with disc brakes, it may be possiblefor an experienced machinist to 'create' one on the side of the dynamo hub you mention, it may not.

    There are disc/dynamo hubs available http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/category-Dyn ... ub-366.htm

Yes you need to get the hub built up into a new wheel.
