After a long 5 month wait I finally got the frame delivered today!

I'll post up some pics shortly, quick spec below:

Green Mojo HD / RP23
Chris King / Mavic XM819 Wheelset
Formula The One brakes
Noir cranks
X0 drivetrain
Thomson Finishing
Fox Talas 36 2011

The frame is awesome looking, pics around the net made me think id made the wrong choice as the colour looked a bad yellow but in the flesh it's the loudest luminous green ever. :D

I like that, I really like that.
Just a shame I don't ride anywhere that could justify all the travel

  • luverly frame :)

1 question though... you already have a Mojo... so what makes you need the extra 20mm of travel?

    Just interested like :)

I asked myself that many times too! I got this frame because it does have more travel but is still an efficient suspension design; the frame is a lot tougher, laterally a lot stiffer than the regular mojo, the head angle is 2 degrees slacker, rear 12mm maxle. It's just a more burly machine.

I'll be using the bike predominantly for downhilling/uplift days but want to be able to climb on it also hence the talas fork (which is now in customs awaiting charges :( )

I had a demo on a regular Mojo SL at the weekend (actually, I had SEVERAL demos on it, I kept going back :P )

It is the only bike there that managed to convince me I need to replace my hardtail with a full bounce. Although I think the regular or SL will be fine for me. Simply put, it's the best bike I've EVER ridden.

Now all I have to do is sell one of my kids to raise the £2k needed for the frame.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product when you're done.

I switched full suspension bikes every 6 months or so ranging from specialized, santa cruz, cannondale and been to countless demo days. I've been riding the SL since mid 2008 and not once flirted with a replacement!

I'd always been dubious about how much of the hype around Mojos is true, and how much is just marketing BS, but it really did blow me away, even with a fairly "meh" build (QR Revs, X9, SLX, heavy wheels) it just outclassed everything else available by a country mile.

It's just a shame they didn't have one of the HDs available too, as I'd have quite liked to try them both side by side.

So will you be keeping the SL as a lightweight AM bouncer and then having the HD as a lightweight but hardcore uplift / enduro sort of deal?

Did you manage to evade the added duty? I was looking at some on Jenson USA but wasn't sure about the warranty issues / added duty etc.

Can't wait to get out of work so I can see the pics!

Also for Rick, you can get them at Tredz in the UK http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Fox-36-Talas-16 ... _37594.htm

No comment on a public forum but it helps if the person sending them will work with you.
