Hey folks,

I've recently bought a bike with Tektro R580 brakes.
I've read that stock brake pads with new brake callipers are usually crap & should be upgraded for better performance.
I've also read that Kool Stop Salmon are very good pads. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Kool_ ... 300005952/
Is it worthwhile upgrading? Are Kool Stop Salmon a good set of pads to buy & will they fit on Tektro R580 brake callipers?

Thanks in advance!

tektro take standard shimano compatible pads

kool stop are good pads, the salmon ones are a softer compound for good wet weather performance, but they'll wear faster, for summer/dy the black compound is a better choice
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny
