New and improved Ribble Gran Fondo has arrived!

The Gran Fondo arrived Wednesday 4 1/2 weeks after I went to the Ribble shop and ordered it. I noticed straight away that the headtube and forks are different from all the pictures I've seen. It now has the 1 1/8"-1 1/2" headset and straight forks. The chainstays and seatstays are also changed.
I don't know how much effect this will have as this is my first proper road bike so I have nothing to compare. But compared to my Cannondale Badboy 700c Ultra, which pounds the hell of me, the Gran Fondo is like sitting in an armchair! I never would have believed how good a full carbon frameset can be.
And with carbon compact Campag Centaur groupset, at £1209 it's a bargain.
It was supposed to be fitted with a Sella Italia XO saddle which looked comfortable but came with a Ponza Prorace which looked far from comfy but after 30 miles yesterday it has proven to be great with non of the usual arse ache of the Fizik Pave that is on my Badboy.
Besides the bike I have also bought clothing and bits mail order from Ribble and have nothing but praise for the service they provide.

mine still hasn't turned up
even had to downgrade to the std centaur, cos the carbon version I ordered hasn't arrived at Ribble yet.
They "promised" it would be here next week tho!0 -
