There are a few clubs in the local area - google is your friend here. However if you not after anything too formal let me point you in the direction of this http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12694352

Just an informal group of us that meet up.

    Have a look at http://www.garstangcyclingclub.net/

Might be what you are looking for. I've found them to be a very friendly bunch. 3 club runs a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Not too far from you.

    Hi

I'm new to club cycling (ok I've been to one night so far!) but am Lanc based so looked around. All I did was google the ones I new were local and then email the contact provided on the website. Popped along to the next club night and voila!

I loved it and can't wait til the next evening ride. Far more socialable than being on my own.

I don't know where in Lancs you are but the few I know about in the bulge between preston and lancaster (google the clubs) are Preston, Ribble, Garstang, clevelys, lancaster, freckleton (very new) as an official club, Lune....

Depends on what you want to do and how far you fancy travelling to meet. FYI, this was my deciding factor and tried Garstang.

I would suggest Ribble Valley but then thats my club so im biased lol.

We have about 3-4 different groups on a sunday that go at different speeds, a chaingang on a saturday and a mid week ride. We also have a race team if your into racing.
