Brecon Beacons or Afan?

Simply one guys? our group of relative MTB beginners cant decide where to head to?

    if you're beginners then afan. there's no actual 'marked' trails in the beacons, you'd have to follow maps etc, but if you're willing to do that then go for it :D

    afan has some good trails and they're all waymarked. but it depends on what you want

    I live 10 minutes from the brecon beacons there are great trails there but has welsh kev says there are no hardly clearly marked trails, but that adds to the fun of it, i have been mountain biking in the beacons for a year now and still finding more trails to ride. I have never been to a trail centre so i could not comment on afan, but with a mountain biking play ground 10 mintues from my door i dont think i am missing out on much.

    Afan, it's all marked out for you and if you're quite new to it all there is always another rider around the corner to help you out if needed.
