Because you don't know, I'll tell you. England are out of the world cup, they have being for quite a while, these flags on the cars where put up due to the world cup, and silly too.

    They are not flags.

The white is a hanky to surrender,

The red is blood where they've slashed their wrists.

Perhaps there weren't any instructions to help the drivers to take them down.

I pass several houses on my cycle rides that constantly fly the George Cross.

Flags on cars, bring them out around the 13th of April.

apparently we should all mock anyone who flys a st. georges cross for any reason..............and people wonder why there's no patriotism in this country

Unfortunatly it's ONLY the football supporters that wave it and ONLY when theres an "important" game or event. if it wasn't ...they wouldn't.
    Sad but true :(

Say what you want about the Yanks (and I do) but they are proud of their flag and do show it all year round from their homes and flagpoles...not just sporting events.

Because we are English and we don't have to, leave it to the Yanks who have something to prove, I was asked what today was by a French colleague, I responded the anniversary of the French defeat at Bien Dem Phu

Yeah these flags flew from anywhere and everywhere made me wonder at the mentality of the bearers, bet if i asked any of them who plays right back for England they would shrug and wear a blank expression.
Had to smile yesterday tho when a car passed me displaying a Spanish flag from his aerial :)
