We are currently awaiting advance notice of the planned logging work on Holmbury Hill on the BKB slope . We have agreed that we will mark out the trail so that sub-contractors will not harvest any trees that make up the trail and will not cross the trail unnecessarily.
It is likely that they will need to cross the trail in some places and we have requested that they cover the trail with brash first to reduce the damage. It is likely that some damage will be caused and the trail will certainly have to be closed for a duration, however, we will be focused on re-opening the trail and repairing any damage as soon as possible.

Rubbish. They've already totally ruined the bit from the car park down the reservoir, on both sides of the fire road.0

I know reservoir dogs has been cut up for some time, though that was warned about previously. This affects BKB however which is more likely to get noticed.0

Indeed, what will all the DH boys who are 'sessioning' BKB do now. They'll be lost.0

Still, there's so much more about over the whole SHills and if they can't do BKB there will be a lot more spaces in the car parks0

Wouldn't know, I just ride up!
It is ridiculous how many people do seem to just do BKB, it really isn't that good.0 -
No, BKB is good. But Pitch/Holmbury/Leith and some other peaks offer so much more! Think it's not bad that all riders(tourist) stick to standard trails, guess many will be diverted to YogPots now.
Anyway ... I don't think that -cheesestraws sales- would be affected. What could have been (Video)
I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though0
