I have a 2009 Defy with the default wheels - Mavic CXP 22, sapim spokes, Giant hubs.
They seem OK, pretty easy to true up and repair + when spoke broke could do a quick fix on the road, OK to get tyres on/off.
If I wanted to replace them how much would I be looking at for an equivalent set?
As always searching through reviews + forums there is a massive choice of how much to spend.

Why are you changing them? seems an ok wheel set.Bike one Dawes Acoma (heavily modified)
Bike two (trek) Lemond Etape (dusty and not ridden much)
Bike Three Claude Butler chinook, (freebee from
Freecycle, Being stripped and rebuilt
(is 3 too many bikes)0 -
I have done ~6000 miles on them.
Replace is probably the wrong word - have a back up set for when I have a broken spoke I can just swap the other wheel in so there is less pressure to get the wheels fixed up again.
Its a matter of knowing how much an equivalent set would cost.
Looking at Wiggle you can spend as much or as little as you like and the temptation is always to spend too much money and get something which is difficult/expensive to maintain yourself.0 -
6,000 miles? They should just be getting broken in....0

With that mileage, it's worth checking your rims for signs of wear.
I used CXP 33s until recently. Very pleased with them.FCN 2-4.
