Anyone know of how much I should start off riding? I have never had a road bike before, but I know that there is a limit on how much I should start off with. I just don't know how should I start it. Any tips would be great!

Everyone is different, thats the problem.

If you've ridden other bikes then you should be able to start of easier.

If you haven't done much before.

Decide on a circular route, flat to start off with. I started of with a circular route and add loops to it depending on what I want to do.

Aim for a half hour, then have a days rest, do another half.

What you'll find is that the half willl turn to 45 minutes, then a bit more and work it up.

Make sure you have rest days for your body to get used to it.

Vary the routes, do a hilly run, or a flat one. mix them up

If you haven't got a computer on the bike get one, nothing flash, but you need to know how far you've gone and time.

Don't knock youself out going for an average time you see on here, its supposed to be fun!

Time and endurance will come to you

    Enjoy yourself!
