So...basically i was burgled tonight, (see http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... t=12714019 for info on bike) and me and the missus are going biking to Morzine next week and was wondering if anyone would be interested in hiring me/ lending a bike for a 5ft 4 female for xc riding. We're pretty gutted as she was packing our stuff when they climbed in through the window and grabbed it and biked off down the street!

Any offers/ suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

nah the police forensics came round and dusted their bike, my hack bike which they moved and the window but apparently they wore gloves or didnt have fingers as no prints were found.

Can't help with a loan bike, but if you need an insurance replacement pop into our shop JC Cooks, it's just over the river in Grimsby & have a look our selection of Cube bikes

Might be worth stating your location?

I'd try your local bike shop, my local one hires our nice mid range bikes. Either that or ask them to get a demo bike in ;)

We're in Hull, off Beverley road on the edge of the Newland area. It just sucks arse as we are due to go on holiday to Morzine on Monday so now we have to find an alternative.

yea we could but due to graduating from uni this year we are both pi55 poor and were trying to do it on the cheap, however this now seems impossible. i wish i knew more people who biked so i could borrow a bike for our holiday to give us more time to buy one when we get back but she is banging on about buying one today, new with a £300 bdget

we arent plannin on any bike stuff, just a few trails, rides around the lakes etc. we're looking at the Claud Butler Cape Wrath D27 2008 which i've found for £400 which seems like a bit of a bargain!
