OK, I probably shouldn't have posted this here, but I need a quick reply.
I was just checking a 100km I'm doing tomorrowmorning and realised that I've plotted the A77 from Prestwick thinking that the cyclepath extends all the way down, but I seem to remember that it terminates at Kilmarnock. The last thing I want to be doing is cycling on the A77.
Does anyone know?

I've only been down as far as Kilmaurs Rd in that direction, but the A77 isn't too bad to ride on. Don't know what it's like further down, but if you're not up for it then you could do something like Kilmaurs > Kilmarnock > Gatehead > B751 > B730 > B739 when you get to Kilmaurs Rd.
Think it might be raining tomorrow as well, so I'd probably avoid the A77 if I could. Roads like that are never fun in the wet - with all the spray coming of cars and lorries.
Seems you live just along the road from my work as well.0 -
Cheers, Whiteline. The A77 would be just unpleasant, even with the average speed cameras, at the Prestwick end.
Kilmaurs - Gatehead - Symington looks like a straightforward adaption. I'll take an OS map just in case (and money for the train in case I get soaked and abandon - black cloud with 2 raindrops at 10.00 ).A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0
