Giant Defy 3 at £625 is a VERY good bike at this price. Triple chainset with external bearings, OK wheels and a VERY good frame for the cash.

I agree, the Defy3 is a very good bike, i've got one and love it..

Only thing i've done to it, is get clips and new tyres! Very good bike for the money. (I was lucky enough to get 25pc knocked off the price of a new one).

Frame takes out a LOT of the chatter from the road, and the build is good for the price.

    Boardman Comp is worth considering.
    Cycling weakly
  • Fuji Newest 2.0 - got it from Evans for £500 and its a great beginner bike. My mate has a boardman comp and he raves about it. A lot of bike for the money apparently
