A dilemma

Couple of years ago I purchased a decent MTB, 'cos I came to cycling via off roading and then took to the road. I always wanted the option of doing some off road, but, in the time I've owned it it's spent most of the time hanging in the garage and done less than 100miles (all dry).
The thing is my head tells me to sell it but my heart says not to as it is a very nice piece of kit.
Have any of you reprobates on here been in the same boat and how did you arrive at your final decision?

Get yourself to a decent trail centre and you'll soon remind yourself why you should have an MTB!
I can't wait to get out on the MTB with my mates now my TT season is over!0 -
Just get out and ride it ! Locally if possible as then you're not thinking 'Christ, got to stick it on a car and drive somewhere before enjoying the damn bike'. I always find a short blast in the local woods near me do the trick even if they're not great or particlarly large trails.
PS: what bike/spec is it? If its pants, we might change our minds and tell you to flog it"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
It's a Diamondback DBR1.
LX, Truvative c/set, quad hyraulic disc brakes, rock shock reconXC forks, maxxis tyres. Thats the bare bones of it not sure what the finishing kit is. But it is very nice.Tail end Charlie

Went out on the MTB today (please don't condemn me to hell and damnation) and really enjoyed it. The trails contantly change and tracks I was able to ride down previously turn devilishly into "the day of the triffids" part way down; tearing the old limbs to bits, leaving me looking like I'd had a wrestle with a roll of razor wire.
Upshot is hte MTB will not be going up for sale.
Thanks folks for the advice.Tail end Charlie
