I would like to hear your opinion on this bike, which i could buy for aprox. 533£

Does it have good fork and brakes for this price range, would you recommend it?

Seems good for the money, a good mix of components. Very good fork for this cash.

Well, i guess i won't get better bike for this price range since Carrera Fury is not an option. Right?

Yet i'll be changing brakes soon -probably- because they are pretty low end.

I've digged another option for my price range - Specialized Rockhopper Comp Disc 2009

I can get it for nearly same price as Mongoose. The Specialized looks like it has better brakes, i'm not sure about the fork, frame and other things

Opinions are welcomed.

Looking for a Rockhopper and Mongoose comparison from pros, which one would you buy?

The Mongoose has the better fork - is swings and roundabouts really, both are good bikes with minor differences.

However the Spesh is no longer available at that outlet.

I've found another similiar bike (this is the last one ) The Felt Q820 (09)

It has air fork same as Mongoose and better than Spesh. Also the frame looks stiffer than Mongoose and is a bit cheaper than Spesh in my country. Brakes are same on Spesh and better then Mongoose.

I guess the Felt is the best of the three bikes we have discussed here, dont you think?

The KHS Alite 3000 is a similar spec to the Felt and near half the price !
