Nokia Sportstracker

Does anyone on here use this? I have it on my phone and use it regularly but I feel I'm not getting the full use out of it. I can download a GPX file from it and import it to Map My Ride and it gives me my distance covered, time, average speed and top speed. However, as it's on a work phone with no internet access I can't upload directly to the Sportstracker website and can't find a way to do it through a cable to my laptop. Does anyone know if I can upload to the site this way and also is there any more detailed information you can get from the data such as speed at a point on your route?

Try uploading the output GPX to ride with gps: http://ridewithgps.com/
That will give you speed at a certain point on the route as well as all the stuff map my ride gives you.0 -
Options -> export -> export as GPX
Then you have 2 choices - "create file only" or "create file and send"
You can then save the file anywhere in phone memory or memory card & export it to your computer from there: either with PC/Ovi suite, or directly by USB cable & choose mass storage when you plug it into the phone.
Or if you choose the send option you can send it by bluetooth, email etc.0 -
Thanks both. Bompington, I'm doing the create file which is what I'm importing to Map My Ride, I just haven't worked out how to upload it into the Sportstracker site (I can't find a tab to import a workout). I suspect I'm being thick! :oops:0

Fletch - thanks for the ride with GPS site, that does exactly what I wanted. I've just put my last 10 mile TT in there and it's given me a chance to work out where I'm going slowly. The result was quite surprising and I'll see if I can put it right tonight0

Yep, I could do with one too. I just chuck it in my back pocket and use it to recall the whole ride but it would be good to use it as a speedo and refer to it on the move. Do they do bike mounts for them?0 -
The NEW Sportstracker site http://www.sports-tracker.com/#/us-EN/public isn't fully live yet. (due to go live any day now).
The OLD Sportstracker BETA site http://sportstracker.nokia.com/nts/main/index.do is still live (though due to close shortly).
The ability to upload workouts directly may be in part due to which version of the Sportstracker software you're currently running on your phone.
Beta = Green logo
New = Red logo
You should still be able to export workouts as a GPX with either version of the software.Cycling weakly0 -

FWIW while the GPS seems reasonably accurate, I don't rate it that highly as a speedo - it definitely lags by a second or two, and occasional jumps in position can give ludicrously false max speed readings.0 -
I have a Nokia 5800 and mount it to the stem of my road bike.

I don't bother with their bar clamp. Just zip tied the phone holder itself to the step. Work a treat and is pretty cheap. And being on the top, you can set up Sportstracker to display the workout.
I bet fleabay has plenty of those mounts for specific nokia's.shame the rider doesn't match the bike...0 -
Cant see that its useful as a speedo - its accurate overall - just not accurate all the time. I just used to have mine running in the back pocket and refer to it later to see where I'd been.0

+1
I use it for reviewing things after but put it in the back pocket as real time speed is not that good. If I get myself a HRM for my phone then I will probably look to mount it0 -
Can you import GPX file routes on the 5800? I'd love to map some of our club routes so I can go ride them alone without getting lost.0
