Hi,
I am moving from a hardtail to my first full susser and am gonna pick one of these two, finances have been approved by the boss. I would welcome any comments on the two machines.
Also, I normally ride SPD's on trails never ever ridden flats, pro's / cons again welcome.
Cheers

Only one choice the Lapierre stunning bike 10/10 in all the reviews I have the 214 and it is awesome eats up anything Cwmcarn, Brecon Beacons and Glyncorrwg can throw at it0

Zesty mate! No question for me, specialised are the cl*toris of the mtb world!
but! as always, get out and ride Both, one may be absolutely spot on spec for the money but ride like a bag of spuds, yet the other may look like a porpers spec but be Awesome in the saddle!Timmo.
After all, I am Cornish!

Depends a bit on what you want it to do, from the little I've ridden each the Specialized has better trail manners on little stuff, it feels more like a pumped up XC bike whereas the Zesty's got more downhill capability. Both bikes can do both jobs o'course.
Also, the Lapierre's about twice the price!
Not sure which I'd go for. The Zesty's more suited to me I think but for the money the Stumpy's pretty damn fine.Uncompromising extremist0
