Not having booked any flights in aaages was wondering if anyone knows of any offers/tricks for cheap booking for flights? Is there anything but looking on Easyjet and RyanAir?
Need 2 adults 2 kids for Bristol to Alicante in 2nd week of August, dates are a tiny bit flexible but was looking for Friday 6th to Friday 13th provisionally, its to an empty villa so can flex around a little bit but not much. (can also flex on Bristol... Birmingham, Heathrow, Gatwick not a problem if its significantly cheaper).
Just wondered if anyone's gonna say anything but looking on Ryanair and Easyjets websites, Ryanair comes in at about £450 but they charge for suitcases at £40 a time, so would have to add 3 of them on.
Any help greatly appreciated, thought this would be as good a place as any to ask whilst sat at home.
Ta for any repsonses in advance.

Each passenger can have hand luggage up to 10kg, can you not just go with hand luggage? Although not sure if the same applies for kids, depends on ages.0

Try http://www.expedia.co.uk/ i've used it a few times0

BMI Baby baggage is cheaper at £25 per item, but then they charge about £15pp for check -in. Do Ryan Air charge for check in too? BMIbaby fly Cardiff to Alicante.0

You need to get to that martin Lewis website on how NOT to be a numpty when booking with budget airlines... they will shaft you if you let them.

Always worth checking other airlines, especially BMI. Expedia or Opodo websites are good for flights.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

Despite the hype Ryanair are often not the cheapest and will treat you like an annoyance rather than a customer. If anything goes wrong when you're flying with them you can forget about getting any help or service.
Expedia are worth a look or find out who flies from Bristol to Alicante and go direct to the airline websites.0 -
Go to the destination airport's website, find out all the airlines that fly there, go on the airlines websites and look at your options.
You can also try skyscanner.com, but that might not have all the options covered.
Each to their own, but my opinion is that it's wise to expect the travel cost to be a substantial part of any holiday. Since becoming a family man I can safely say I would rather stay at home than travel with ryanair again. Make sure you include EVERYTHING in checking a flight with a budget airline, ticket cost, taxes, booking fee, travel to obscure airports, baggage fees + over weight "fine", check-in fees. Also read all the conditions thoroughly as a handbag/camera may count as your hand baggage allowance leaving you no option but to pay for checking in the rest. As mentioned before if there is any problems don't expect any help from the budget airlines.
Would also consider not flying home on Friday the 13th :twisted:0
