Are PTP players using Octo-doping?

If the World Cup has taught us one thing (other than the word Vuvuzela) it is that Octopuses (or is that Octopi) are psychic and know what is going to happen in sport.

The most notable of these is Weymouth born, German raised Paul, who has correctly predicted all six of Germany's results. Here he is picking outsiders Serbia to beat the Hun.

On RAI the other night David Cassani showed his viewers, in extreme close up, not showing much detail, a psychic octopus he had got from Hungary. According to its owner, it picked Evans to win the Worlds, Freire to win MSR and Eisel to win Gent-Wevelgem and has been used by some PTP players.

A YouTube video has emerged showing last year's PTP winner, FJS, tucking into what looks suspiciously like a seafood platter at the end of last season.

It is clear that Octo-doping is going on in PTP. Yet there has been no comment from PTP President, Pat McAFX. When will octopus scanners be introduced?

Any accusations of octo-doping are utterly without substance. I ask you, where is the credibility? It's just like a bad plate of kalimari - you only have to chew (and chew, and chew) the first bit to know what the rest is like.

Pat McQuaid: "We're taking these allegations of octodoping very seriously. In fact, I believe it occurs at the highest levels of the sport. Why, only the other day, someone told me that Lance Armstrong had one of his tentacles removed.

In an effort to prove the complete independence of our review process, may I present the chair of our committee, Mr Vrijmann?"
